Freya Jobbins, a Sydney based sculptor, printmaker, environmental artist and mosaic designer creates 'morphies'; they are whimsical and sometimes bizarre heads and torsos. Her work transcends the borders between everyday life and art, revealing the child within. She is reusing everything that is discarded or recycled, whether it’s unwanted kids’ toys, ceramic dishes, wood, or re-cycled paper.
Her inspiration comes by colour and the strength of purest Black, and by artists such as Lucy Culitan, Marco Luccio, Cleo Mussi, Cressida Campbell, Friederich Hunderwasser, Kathe Kolwitz and of course
Guiseppe Archimboldo.
Elsa, this is AWESOME!!! Wow!
