Pepa Ramírez "Tocados De Cabeza"

I'm Pepa Ramirez and I was born in Seville in 1966. I've studied Art History at the University of  Complutense in Madrid where I'm currently living. I'm passionate about creating textile objects such as feminine accessories, headgear, hats, flowers, belts that appeal and are irresistible to women only. Pursuing the search for harmony, where the color and volume subtly merge, I'm combining textiles, along with pins, buttons and semi-precious gems. My source of inspiration, comes from the films of  the '40s and 50s era, the fashion magazines of the '20s, from people in the street and the motley groups that walk down the Gran Via in Madrid.

Nace en Sevilla en 1966, estudia Historia del Arte en Madrid. Apasionada por creación de objetos textiles, en 2008 se plantea mostrar sus trabajos al exterior, hasta este momento sus diseños habían sido regalos para sus amigas. Crea complementos femeninos, realiza tocados, sombreros, flores, cinturones, toodos exquisitamente trabajados. Su objetivo crear diseños irresistibles para mujeres únicas. El material con el que trabaja, es fundamentalmente textil, aunque utiliza plumas, botones y pedrerías todo de alta calidad. Su fuente de inspiración, el cine, sobre todo el de los años 40 y 50, las revistas de moda de los años 20, la gente de la calle, el público variopinto que pasea por la Gran Vía de Madrid.
