I'm Aynur Dereli. I've been teaching hand embroidery for about 25 years. It is my greatest passion and I see this shop as a way of sharing my passion with you.
Wire breaking is the hardest and most beautiful example of handicrafts that reflects Turkish culture. It is originated at 19th century in Bartın, a lovely black sea city of Turkey. Wire breaking differs from other needlework types with its handling technique and glamorous look. It gets handled on a fabric or tulle that strung over a wooden hoop.
I use wire breaking in scarfs and accessories. I hope you enjoy it.
