My paintings can be construed as my subconscious "junk drawer" made visible. I pull from the deep recesses of the mind, where emotions are heightened and raw. It is here that I find an old conversation with a friend, an embarrassing mistake, a complex relationship, or a moment of pure happiness that I can channel into a painted narrative of human experiences. I use our animal and plant counterparts in our place to examine who we are and what it means to be alive more intimately.

What funky art, very cool! I especially love the last one, the tree of water droplets. I'm off to look at more art in her Etsy shop!
ReplyDeleteThis is really neat :) The tulip head holding a bouquet of heads is very interesting and unique! <3

Her art reminds me of something you'd find in Alcie in Wonderland. That tree is amazing! :)
