I'm Sonya. I go through life collecting moments and turn them into beautiful visual stories.

I used to live in Norway but now I travel the world and collect simple living stories and views. The beauty around has taught me to never go out without my camera because I don't want to miss documenting it. I then spend days turning my photographs into unique pieces of art. I am a photographer, a simplicity writer and author of the blog Kanelstrand Simple Living (http://blog.kanelstrand.com).

I am a book reviewer for Elsevier through one of its imprints Taylor and Francis -- a publisher of high quality photography and digital imaging books. My photography has been shown on international exhibitions and published in magazines on/ and off-line. My photo Burning Clouds was selected as one of the ten best altered images for 2013 according to Smithsonian Magazine.
