My name is Mademoiselle Sugar and I am based in Paris, France. As well as co-ordinating a film festival and making films I also design and make vintage inspired sleepmasks under the name Love Me Sugar Paris. This stemmed from my obsession that started 5 years ago when I travelled through Europe. As I stayed in hostels the sleepmask proved to be a necessary asset that I have not been able to let go, and necessary for a good nights sleep. So I made one for myself, inspired by my fascination for vintage and pinup including Marlene Dietrich, Bettie Page and Dita Von Tease. It felt so good that I decided to create a collection of them. I use the softest fabrics including silk, satin and bamboo. I love to accessorize them with ribbons, rhinestones and Swarovski crystals which adds a touch of glamour. For me it is about luxury and feeling sensual, feeling good about yourself. And off course a good nights sleep. As one customer said, it is "lingerie for your eyes".
I am always inspired by new designs and fabrics and it gives me the greatest pleasure when a customer opens their beautifully gift-wrapped eyemask. They are ideal for afternoon naps and traveling in trains and planes where a comfortable nights sleep is mandatory. All my masks have a strong lingerie elastic so it fits all size heads.
